Roti Mami

Roti Mami is a contemporary Bengali pop-up project by London-based chef Rez Rahman, known for moving between locations and building a loyal following that seeks out each iteration. In summer 2026, the project is based in the former Kedem space on Hermannstraße in Neukölln. Rahman’s cooking draws on Bengali traditions while introducing contemporary touches, resulting in a menu that feels both rooted and playful, moving between dishes such as confit duck samosas, chilli cheese rotis, and pani puri with iced tamarind water. The food is defined by its sense of lightness and bold, expressive flavors, offering a perspective on Bengali cuisine that remains rare in Berlin. Beyond the menu, the project is shaped by Rahman’s distinctive personality and warm, engaging presence, which has become an integral part of the overall experience.
