Mercan
Mercan is a long-standing Turkish lokanta in the heart of Kreuzberg and one of the city’s most established addresses for classical, Turkish home-style cooking. Run by the founding family in its second generation, it has built a loyal following well beyond the neighborhood’s Turkish community, drawing regulars from across Berlin’s restaurant scene. The daily spread follows a traditional canteen format: stuffed peppers and dolma, bean stew over rice, chicken stew with bulgur, accompanied by fresh salads and, almost obligatorily, a glass of hot chai.
