Facil
Facil is one of Berlin’s defining fine dining institutions, having opened in 2001 and to this day being among the city’s longest-established addresses at this level. The two-Michelin-star restaurant has been led by executive chef Michael Kempf for more than two decades, with head chef Joachim Gerner working alongside him for nearly as long - a continuity that has given this restaurant an unusually consistent and unique identity. The cooking is grounded in classical European and French technique, delivering composed and spectacularly technically precise dishes. Located at the Mandala Hotel on Potsdamer Platz, Facil exists in its own little world (including a discreet bamboo garden), creating a notably calm setting within one of Berlin’s busiest districts. It is also known for its extensive, deeply cellared wine list, particularly strong in rare Old World bottles, making it a reliable choice for a traditional high-end dining experience with serious wine to match.
Come for the weekday lunch - Facil is the only Michelin-starred restaurant in Berlin that runs a fine dining lunch service
