Cheers Kiez
Cheers Kiez Pizza is a tiny, slightly off-the-grid pizzeria on Choriner Straße in Prenzlauer Berg, widely known as one of the most beautiful streets in Berlin. What began as a pop-up eventually found a permanent home here, developing into a cosy, intimate neighbourhood spot centred on thin, Neapolitan-style pizzas. Its defining feature, however, is the weekly gluten-free programme: every Wednesday and Thursday, the kitchen is thoroughly cleaned before the entire menu (including the pizzas and tiramisu) is prepared gluten-free. Cheers Kiez has become a much-loved address within Berlin’s gluten-free community and guests with celiac disease flock here to eat without the usual concerns around flour in the kitchen or cross-contamination, More than a compromise, the gluten-free dough is also serious achievement in its own right, delivering the rise, chew, and crisp edges that are often difficult to find in gluten-free pizza
Guests with high concerns about gluten cross-contamination are advised to come on Thursdays
