Café Bravo
Café Bravo is the newly reimagined café at KW Institute for Contemporary Art on Auguststraße, occupying one of Berlin’s most recognisable hospitality spaces: Dan Graham’s mirrored glass pavilion in the museum courtyard. In summer 2026, the team behind Otto, Trio, and Pluto took over the operation, bringing along their clear, unfussy approach to modern German food into an all-day restaurant setting. The offering follows the rhythm of the day, from coffee and small breakfast items such as muesli or bread with seasonal toppings to a regularly changing lunch menu of open-faced sandwiches, pickles, and daily lunch plates that keep things simple without being basic. Pastries and classic German cakes provide the necessary afternoon argument for staying longer, while wine is available for those whose museum visit turns into an early evening. Come here in the summer to seek refuge from the heat sun the courtyard surrounded by old trees and shaded outdoor tables.
Make sure to order some of the divine pickles and a piece of cake for dessert
