Babbo Bar
Babbo Bar is a small, easy-to-miss Italian restaurant in the heart of Neukölln, where an understated interior gives little indication of the ambition in the kitchen. Chef’s love this place because of the concise menu that sticks to classic Italian cooking, with antipasti, fresh pasta, secondi, and a handful of changing specials, accompanied by a wine list with more depth than the modest setting might suggest. The parmigiana di melanzane is spectacular, with thoroughly softened aubergine layered with a rich tomato sugo, while the fresh pasta shows care and craftsmanship across dishes such as maccheroncini with ragu and tagliolini with truffle. The Saltimbocca alla romana is another signature worth noting. Seasoning can lean decidedly salty, so keeping a glass of wine or water close can save your night.
