Horváth
Horváth is one of Berlin’s most individual fine dining restaurants, a two-Michelin-starred address on Paul-Lincke-Ufer in Kreuzberg led by Austrian chef Sebastian Frank and his partner Jeannine Kessler. Frank has shaped the kitchen since 2010, and the couple took over the restaurant in 2014, developing it through continuous change while maintaining a clear personal identity rooted in Austrian flavours and product-driven cooking. Today, vegetables form the centre of the menus, with the restaurant largely stepping away from meat and fish proteins in favour of dishes built around roots, leaves, mushrooms, ferments, deep reductions, and a striking range of textures. The result is a highly distinctive, intellectually curious meal that rewards attention without becoming overly formal. Horváth’s cellar is just as important to the experience, with a strong focus on smaller producers from Austria, Germany, Hungary, Slovenia, and further east, alongside one of Berlin’s most compelling non-alcoholic pairings. The team is also well equipped to accommodate dietary requirements when communicated in advance, including gluten-free menus, making Horváth a tremendous choice for that kind of eating.
This is a great place for vegetarian foodies and they are trail brazers with non alcoholic pairings.
